Bio

Katherine Barnette, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a supportive and judgment-free environment. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Houston. Prior to entering nursing, Katherine worked as a geologist, bringing strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thoughtful problem-solving approach to patient care.

Katherine has extensive experience caring for individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric concerns. Her background includes psychiatric nursing experience in both inpatient and acute-care settings, where she developed a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health treatment.

She believes in meeting patients where they are and partnering with them to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and values. Katherine's approach is warm, collaborative, and patient-centered, emphasizing education, open communication, and evidence-based treatment strategies to help individuals achieve lasting wellness and improved quality of life.
